Dual monitor issue - posted in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1: Just a quick question as i am very new to amd catalyst control center but hopefully its an easy task to do and someone knows how to do it. We have only the problem with Windows 8.1 when using the laptop display with external monitor. Ultra HD is not the problem. When I use a Windows7 machine, dual screen works fine. The biggest is that now I can keep the start menu open on one monitor while working in desktop mode on another - earlier, the menu would disappear the moment I would click the desktop on another monitor.

Which was irritating since what is the point of having live tiles if I can't glance them whenever - so now, unless I am in a mode where I am doing some heavy work, one of my 3 monitors is always displaying the start screen. I just tested this and you are right. The native 8.1 button does open the start screen on the target window by default. The start button only works to open the start menu on the main display unless you change the setting i highlighted. I am currently using display fusion and its multi-monitor taskbar because it displays relevant taskbar icons opposed to all icons on all windows.
